Modisco offers the possibility to define facet / customization with overlay icons.
The feature (overlay icons) is not currently available in Papyrus.

It seems that to use overlays, the customization manager has to be initialized somehow (see: customizationManager.installCustomPainter(Tree tree)) but I not quite sure where this initialization is supposed to be made.
