Build Identifier: M20090917-0800 This is a fairly simple bug. When I'm working through the tutorials given in the Help section, if I have an options box open in the Eclipse IDE then I can't scroll through the tutorial. The Help page becomes unresponsive. This makes it difficult to work through longer sections of the tutorial. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Eclipse 2. Select Help > Help Contents > Any topic 3. Return to Eclipse and Select File > Open 4. Return to Help and attempt to scroll, or select other items in help.
This problem also occurs under Eclipse CDT. Attempt to add a Debugger action to a breakpoint via the "Actions" property. From the "New Breakpoint Action" dialog, press the Ctrl-F1 key, then select one of the Help links. The online Help display pops up as expected, but it is unresponsive to any mouse or keyboard events. Only after the dialogs are dismissed does the Help display become responsive.
On Linux the help system runs in the same shell as Eclipse and gets blocked by modal dialogs. The workaround is to set the help preferences to use an external browser.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
