You can't set any breakpoints by double clicking in the bar area - you can only set them my selecting toggle breakpoints from the context menu.

Ctrl+Shift+B will work.

To this day, I am still amazed at how many people double-click on the ruler instead of using Ctrl+Shift+B. :O
