Description Jeff McAffer CLA 2010-06-22 09:52:25 EDT
In the current (and perhaps future) Helios pages (e.g., http://eclipse.org/helios/projects.php) there is no indication of which projects are incubating. The spirit of the EDP indicates that consumers should be aware when they are consuming content that is still incubating. I'm not sure how many of the current pages will hang around after the release but it might be worthwhile annotating entries if they are incubating.

Moving to website.

The PMI now renders this page.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

Hi Wayne,

This is the page that the PMI renders:
https://projects.eclipse.org/releases/helios

Can you confirm that it is still an issue? From what I can see, we are either not displaying the incubating projects or we are still not displaying which one of the projects are in the incubating state.

This is still an issue that should, ideally, be addressed.

The latter: the phase (incubating/mature) of the project is not being displayed.

It occurs to me that the phase is connected to the project, not the release. Using only the information that we have currently available, any attempt to display information about the phase would reflect the state at the time that the page is loaded, not at the time of the release.

To be useful, the flag would have to be attached to the version. IMHO, this will require too much work compared to the value that it will provide, so I'm going to just mark this as WONTFIX.
