In terms of debugging it would be nice if there was a verbose mode for the oprofile Eclipse plugin. Maybe we could add a preference "Run in debug mode" or some such, which prints commands/configuration sent to the oprofile native binary.

Oprofile has long been deprecated and is now removed from the build even.
