Since the last version scrolling the Java text editor, or the JSP one has become very jerky. This is very irritating. It wasnt like this before, on the same machine. My machine is dual 2.4Ghz and scrolling everything else on the operating system is absolutely fine. I have just this moment updated to the latest version and the problem is still there.

Reproducible: Always

Move to JDT/Text

It works fine for me with the latest 3.6 candidate (http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/I20100608-0911/index.php) but I tested on Windows XP.

Can you provide a test file (either for the plain text editor or the Java editor - JSP is not part of the SDK) and tell us how you scroll (mouse, keyboard,...). When you say "Since the last version", does it mean it works well in 3.5.x?

The build is missing the letter in front of the date, and the Version field in this bug is definitely wrong. And for Mac bugs, please always indicate whether you use Cocoa or Carbon.

Probably a dup of bug 298936. Please reopen if you can reproduce with 3.6 RC4 or the Helios release.
