Cannot reset to tag 

Currently EGit does not allow to reset to a tag. Screenshot attached. You see that a feature is selected and the reset button is not active.

you probably meant:

... that a tag is selected and the reset button is not active.

As a workaround you may select the tag in the History View and call reset from the context menu.
