I travel a lot in trains and i am off line then. It would be great to use these times to view webinars. But how can i download the Adobe Acrobat Connect webinars from Eclipse Live to view them off line. It is discriminating, the webinars aren't open source. So i have chosen major severity.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a webinar
2. Look for a button to download
3.

A great way would be using the HTML 5 videos as every good web browser already supports them.

We've been using Adobe Connect for our monthly webinars because they donate an account to us, so it's free for us to use. The UI and quality have been excellent. I'm always open to trying new services though. Any suggestions? Main requirements are that we need to allow for about 100 live viewers and viewers should be able to use Win, Mac or Linux.

I looked at 8 other services (DimDim, EVO, Fuze, GoToMeeting, Mikogo, Spreed, Vyew, Yugma)already and the next closest option seems to be DimDim, which is open source. However, when I used it for some trial demos, there was a lot of lag, so the quality was pretty poor. I believe the recordings are also only available online afterwards, so still no option to download.

I don't want you to change the presentation/webinar software. But it would be great if could show some way how to download a wewbinar to be able to view it offline. It could be a firefox addon or some extra software which can be used to convert the webinar to a video. There are many flash downloader but none of them is able to download Acrobat Connect. The "http://www.flashvideodownloader.org/" shows several parts in a webinar. Some information to them to be able to download it would be great.

I believe we've got this fixed. I was able to get offline copies of our webinars through Adobe Connect in .flv format and then post a "Download Webinar" link to Eclipse Live. The download link will be on the right side of a resource's page, under the star rating. See http://live.eclipse.org/node/921 as an example.

All of the Helios In Action webinars and What's New in Helios demos are available to download now. I plan to make any resources we record from this point on available offline. If there is demand for an earlier webinar, I can convert these on request.

Does this solve it for you Markus?

Excellent. Thanks for your patience. Closing as FIXED.
