Today our rsync scripts run as sdimitro to copy the eclipse builds to eclipse.org. I'd like to change them so they run as kmoir. I think all that needs to be done on your part is to change the uid to kmoir in [eclipseDownloads] and [eclipseUpdates] in the rsyncd.conf and restart the rsync daemon. You may also have to recursively chown the eclipse downloads directory so my userid has rights to add and delete files. (/home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads) thanks :-)

Hi again If there is a password file referenced by the rsyncd.conf for [eclipseDownloads] and [eclipseUpdates]? If so, could you keep the same password but change the username to kmoir. The script says download1.eclipse.org
Ok I thought that might be it. I've restarted the rsync daemon on that node as well. -M.

Thanks, that worked. Could you also recursively chown as kmoir the following directory. These are still owned as sdimitro /home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates
And one more, I think this is the last one :-) chown -R kmoir /home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/equinox/drops and /home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/equinox and chown kmoir *.php *.html *.txt (not recursively)
