I tried to download the 64Bit-Linux-Version of ganymede for several times now always with the result that the package is broken. Is used this link: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads/release/ganymede/SR2/eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz Cannot decompress it, it always says that the eof is reached unexpectedly.
Ouh, Ganymede is old. ;-) Can you please check your download with one of the checksums here: MD5: http://archive.eclipse.org/technology/epp/downloads/release/ganymede/SR2/eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz.md5 SHA1: http://archive.eclipse.org/technology/epp/downloads/release/ganymede/SR2/eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz.sha1 I was able to unpack the package on the server with the command below without seeing any problems: tar zxvf eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz All Ganymede packages have been moved to archive, that means they are available from the eclipse.org archive server and not from the Eclipse mirrors any more. The direct link to the package is http://archive.eclipse.org/technology/epp/downloads/release/ganymede/SR2/eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz File size should be 171117959 bytes.
Ok. it seems as if there is something missing again and the download is broken. Sorry. I try it now once again - for the x-time :-). Since it takes about an hour to download this version of eclipse (because of the archive server probably), I cannot take care of the download all the time and watch for it to complete correctly. I definitely need this old version because of some plugins I'm using and that do not work for galileo.
