Description Steve Powell CLA 2010-06-15 06:37:33 EDT
As in bug 316613 - we are blocked from pushing and pulling from git.eclipse using ssh.

All committers here in springsource are blocked. My ip address is 89.21.231.34 in case you want to go look.

Also one of our colleagues can no longer ssh into download1.eclipse.org, so presumably this is related.

Upped to blocker -- stopped work !

Cleared. I'll dig into why this is happening.

This looks like an inside job :)

I suggest you speak to Mr. Frost, as I see multiple login failures from your IP with a variety of user names all derived from his name. Oh and a couple attempts to login with a build.eclipse.org account (but not on build.eclipse.org).

Hi Matt

Oh dear. Chris has been struggling to access the various resources we need for publishing Virgo builds and it seems the blacklist has a hair-trigger. Please would you consider turning down the sensitivity a little as a few manual attempts to gain access must be orders of magnitude less persistent than a true hacker. I can easily imagine coming back from vacation and screwing things up trying to remember my password.

Meanwhile if you can find some way of white-listing our IP range and/or giving someone in our timezone (does it *have* to be a Foundation employee?) the ability to clear the blacklist, I'd very much appreciate it. We didn't lose as many hours as last time, but it was still a significant impact to this week's sprint.

Regards,
Glyn

I'll try and make less attempts from now on, just wanted to try a variety of clients and variations to see what is stopping me from connecting. My apologies for the trouble.

This seems done now. Thank you.
