-- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 1.3.0.20100609-1425 (org.eclipse.epp.package.modeling.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.platform 3.6.0.v20100602-9gF78GpqFt6trOGhL5t0nJy5fyGHKrwNY I have a workspace that's been in use for over a year with eclipse versions ranging from eclipse 3.5 Milestone versions. I was using the workspace fine up until Helios M7 and as I switched to Linux Lucid 10.04. Then I started to have crashes with said versions. Today I decided to get down to that problem. Here's how I fixed the problem. I opened the workspace with 3.5.2 and closed almost all the views including the ones that use browser functionality. ? was left in Java perspective with only package explorer and Error Log view. No editors open. Then I started the workspace with RC4 and then it managed to open the workspace but crashed right after workspace was restored. Then I restarted the workspace with RC4, now everything is fine.

Created attachment 171807 [details] The initial crash log Crash report - 1
Created attachment 171808 [details] The second and last crash log
The two logs look unrelated, I'll look into the second one. Did you switch to use the WebKitGTK-based Browser because the default one wasn't working? I don't see any reference to the Mozilla-based Browser in the first error log.
Actually I see the answer to my last question in bug 312350.
(In reply to comment #5) > Actually I see the answer to my last question in bug 312350. Yeah Grant, I seemed to have more then one compatibility problem at the same time, that's why.
The log in comment 3 is bug 323763, and is now fixed, so no need to log a report for it. The log in comment 2 is still to be investigated.
The log in comment 2 is also reported in bug 330476, with no other accompanying issues, so marking this report as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 330476 ***
