Description Andrew Overholt CLA 2010-06-10 14:58:15 EDT
This will not be easy, but it would be great to have a two-way form-based editor for configure.ac and Makefile.am. I am envisioning something like the PDE form editors for build.properties, MANIFEST.MF, plugin.xml, etc. Yes, there will have to be a line drawn for what sane things are exposed in the form editor and which ones are either on an Advanced tab or are only done in the text editor.

Ideas/discussion very welcome.

P.S. Yes, I realize that this might involve writing an m4 parser in Java :)

Form editors are overrated and people are tending towards lighter editors so this one would not happen.
