I recently noticed that multi-line text fields have become really slow. There is a delay when I type so that I can easily type faster than the characters appear. 

To reproduce, open a multi-line text field, such as the PDE schema editor or a mylyn bug report and enter text quickly.

Can't reproduce this at the moment with the mylyn new task/bug report window. I can type into the description field fairly quickly and it keeps up with me.

I renamed this bug since it affects any text fields, not just multi-line.

My machine is fairly slow (particularly since I started using cocoa 64-bit) so this could be contributing to the problem. However, I don't see the problem when I use an editor like the java editor. It seems like text fields are much slower.

You might be able to reproduce the problem by loading up your machine with some other work.

I'm no longer seeing this in 3.7. or 3.8.
