Extension point org.eclipse.jst.pagedesigner.jsp.core.pageVar is deprecated and should possibly be removed.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Ian Trimble CLA 2011-03-22 17:41:11 EDT
1) It's not marked deprecated in the schema, and therefore would need to go through a deprecation period before we removed it.

2) It's still being used (one concrete example is in the WPE preview). It's used to provide h:dataTable/var and f:loadBundle/var "page variables".

Conclusion: it's not deprecated so we shouldn't remove it, and we're using it so we shouldn't deprecate it without a good reason and a plan.
