CDT 7.0 supports the Templates view (General > Templates). Unfortunately, the view is unavailable if JDT is not installed. Maybe something is missing in the plugin.xml?

Good catch.  I didn't notice we have to add the view ourselves as per bug 69581 comment 102.

Fixed it in HEAD.
