Build Identifier: In the install dialog, you should show the following information in the version column or a new column: "-": Not installed "O": This bundle is older than a bundle which is already installed "i": This version of the bundle is currently installed "U": The version of this bundle is newer than one which is already installed Right now, users have to leave the dialog, open the about dialog, note down the version information, etc. Reproducible: Always
There is some of this state information in the wizard. Things that are installed can be filtered out of view using the checkbox in the wizard. If you choose to show them, the icons are gray rather than full color. If an item is newer (an upgrade) to something you have installed, then the upgrade icon is shown. Also, note that you can open the installation details from a link on the install wizard (so you don't have to close the wizard and open the about dialog). There's always room for improvement, but some of this is available today.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
