Description Grant Gayed CLA 2010-05-28 10:57:33 EDT
- in the Breakpoints view, right-click -> Import Breakpoints...
- type in a filename that exists but is not a valid breakpoints file, Finish
- it tries the import and fails, but the only feedback is a message logged to the Error Log. To a user that thinks their breakpoints file is valid, this just looks like the Finish button is somehow broken,
- since in the failure case the Import Breakpoints dialog is left up, perhaps this would be an easy place to display a notification of the failure

The export breakpoints dialog has a similar issue (eg.- attempting to write to a directory without write permissions).
Comment 2 Eclipse Genie CLA 2018-09-14 14:29:59 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
