Description Olivier Thomann CLA 2010-05-26 10:39:57 EDT
This package was originally used to manipulate java source code. It was never properly updated to handle 1.5 code. The replacement for it is the ASTRewrite and DOM/AST API.
These APIs are fully functional for 1.5 code.

Therefore the old deprecated package org.eclipse.jdt.core.jdom should be removed. All types in this package have been deprecated since Eclipse 3.0 (see bug 61148).
Comment 1 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-06-19 12:56:30 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
