This problem does NOT occur in English in this build. I am opening a bug to have this fixed, but Mostafa, may you please update the build you are using to test, to the most recent build available? Thank you! - Nicko Guyer <response_by> nguyer at 2010.05.24.09.57.10 </response_by> This article was reassigned from Category:''TVT/Testing,Inbox''.

<response_by> Mostafa Ali at 2010.05.26.02.53.37 </response_by> Hi Nicko, I tried this test case again with build 20100525-1400, and the problem still exists. Thanks Mostafa Ali
Are you all using the build from this link for testing? http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/birt/downloads/drops/S-R1-2_6_0-S20100525-201005251749/birt-report-designer-all-in-one-2_6_0-S20100525.zip
Created attachment 170134 [details] exceptions Problem occurred with birt-report-framework-sdk-2_6_0-N20100521.zip. See the attached console log for the exceptions. Looks like it's related to "FormatCurrencyNumPattern.BUILT_IN_SYMBOLS". The problem occurred in locale "ar" (for Arabic).

What JDK version are you using?
And what's the plugin version for "com.ibm.icu" used?
We tried both: java version "1.5.0" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build pwi32devifx-20100127 (SR 11 FP1 )) IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.5.0 IBM J9 2.3 Windows 7 x86-32 j9vmwi3223ifx-20100 125 (JIT enabled) J9VM - 20100122_52103_lHdSMr JIT - 20091016_1845ifx1_r8 GC - 20091026_AA) JCL - 20100127 java version "1.6.0" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build pwi3260sr7-20091217_01(SR7)) IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 Windows XP x86-32 jvmwi3260sr7-200912 14_49398 (JIT enabled, AOT enabled) J9VM - 20091214_049398 JIT - r9_20091123_13891 GC - 20091111_AA) JCL - 20091202_01 ICU 4.2.1.v20100412 from eclipse-SDK-N20100524-2000
OK, I got the problem. I guess you are all testing with locale settings without the country part, such as "ar" instead of "ar_SA", "zh" instead of "zh_CN", so the currency property cannot be determined as it's country specific. Now added the logic to handle this case.
<response_by> Mostafa Ali at 2010.06.01.05.08.43 </response_by> Hi, After trying "ar_SA" the problem is fixed. Thanks Mostafa Ali
