Description matgnt CLA 2010-05-24 09:44:17 EDT
Build Identifier:

I cannot start eclipse. An error message appears and points me to the log file. It seems eclipse ist not happy with my kernel name:

$ uname -a
Linux mobile 2.6.32.11+drm33.2-custom-ubuntu-with-gobi #3 SMP Fri May 7 13:19:28 CEST 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

In the log file eclipse complains about "11+drm33":
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: invalid qualifier: 11+drm33
        at org.osgi.framework.Version.validate(Version.java:188)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download eclipse-java-galileo-SR2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz
2.Try to start eclipse
3.

see bug305452 comment 1 for a workaround.

Or try the latest Helios builds.
