Tickles bug on Linux & Windows XP

Not sure if this is "bug" or "feature". Occurs when we are on
https://www.google.com/voice
and setUrl to
https://www.google.com/voice#trash

I am attaching some rather longish code that tickles this bug (its a conformance test of sorts... please see test2() function - NO progressevent occurs; tested on both Linux and Windows XP).

Thank you!
Misha

Ok so this should be quite helpful:
this _only_ happens with https, _not_ with http

Do you still see this issue? A lot of time passed since it was reported.
