Created attachment 169559 [details] Patch for eclipse_soa_helios.xml in org.eclipse.epp.package.soa.feature Adding advertising for ECF remote services implementation.
Patch applied to HEAD Please check next week's RC2 download page and close the bug then.
(In reply to comment #1) > Patch applied to HEAD > Please check next week's RC2 download page and close the bug then. I see that the package description now has this contents: It includes a Java IDE, Swordfish Tooling, ECF's OSGi 4.2 remote services implementation, the Plugin Development Environment (PDE), an XML Editor and a WSDL Editor I would appreciate the following links be added to the ECF prose: <a href="http://www.eclipse.org/ecf">ECF</a>'s OSGi 4.2 <a href="http://wiki.eclipse.org/ECF#OSGi_4.2_Remote_Services">remote services</a> implementation Thanks.
Zsolt, there is another important request... with the new download page layout, I am pretty sure we *must* add the term "(includes Incubating components)" to the package name. Therefore I'd like you to ask to change/patch the xml from packageName="Eclipse SOA Platform for Java and SOA Developers" to packageName="Eclipse SOA Platform for Java and SOA Developers (includes Incubating components)"

Scott, I don't think we should start adding links for all features and projects included in the package.
Created attachment 171373 [details] Adds "includes Incubating components" to the name of the package
(In reply to comment #3) > > packageName="Eclipse SOA Platform for Java and SOA Developers (includes > Incubating components)" Added a patch for this, also changed Swordfish N&N link to the latest version. Link to Eclipse N&N is still the old one, but don't know newer one at the moment.

Zsolt...I think we should add these links, as since the remote services contribution is a runtime contribution, it depends heavily on consumers being able to access documentation. These links provide that access to the relevant documentation.
(In reply to comment #6) Patch applied to CVS HEAD.
Closing as FIXED.
