Description Deepak Azad CLA 2010-05-21 10:12:55 EDT
The buttons (Highlight Search Terms, Go Back, Go forward, Print etc) on the top right in the Help Window use a hand pointer, which is incorrect as a hand pointer indicates a hyperlink which most of these buttons are not. Maybe you could use hand pointer for 'Go back' and 'Go Forward' buttons but similar buttons (buttons on the toolbar in Java perspective) elsewhere in the Eclipse IDE use the arrow pointer.

I saw this bug when it came in but I haven't looked into it yet, it does not seem severe so I am working on some other bugs which have higher priority first.

Chris A, do you have an opinion on this? It seems that we have been using a hand for a long time and I don't really notice any more. It's an easy enough change to make.

Yeah - I personally don't have a strong opinion, I think I kind of like the hand pointers, but it wouldn't bother me if they went away.

Patch

The buttons already indicate their selectability by getting a border which makes them appear to pop out when they are hovered over so I agree that it would be more consistent with the workbench to use the default cursor. This patch also makes the maximize/minimize button behave like the other buttons.
