after moving the the R36_RC1 basebuilder, our Orbit repository no longer contains the "zipped" instruction/attribute, that tells P2 to unzip a bundle as a directive. The most direct/quickest fix would be to revert the base builder. See also bug 313265. Note: I'm fairly sure this is not a direct result of the base builder, as webtools project also moved to RC1 base builder, and its build repos still contain the zipped instruction. Orbits build is a bit odd, though, so something interaction is at play?

Just to document it here, the last (good) version of base builder we were using was v20100416. I think I'll try R36_M7 version ... just to see what happens.
I bet I know that happened ... while monkeying about with bug 309723 (no source jars), I think I ended up "nulling out" the content in build.properties for our feature. And then it didn't matter (didn't help, but didn't matter) because of the bug 310674 and ones related to it. Not that bug 310674 is fixed, I think we have to make sure we have content in the build.properties, or else the feature is effectively ignored. (that's actually a good thing, imho, but then we'd have to code the "bundle layout" in the bundles themselves, when we want them as directories. So, I think the first 'fix' will be to add content back to build, properties, from its current bin.includes = jars.compile.order = . source.. = . output.. = . back to bin.includes = feature.xml,\ feature.properties jars.compile.order = . source.. = . output.. = .
All is well. Well, at least with respect to directory bundles. :) The S20100519050118 build has correct zipped attributes in repo.

No, RC2 +0 day is this Friday, 5/21 ending on 5/26. any builds for RC2 delivery should use the latest build in on the Orbit downloads site, http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/ currently http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/S20100514103823/ It is/will be confusing, so thanks for checking.
