When a user specifies an element value in shared-cache-mode other than, NONE,ALL, ENABLE_SELECTIVE, DISABLE_SELECTIVE EclipseLink defaults to NONE. The default in EclipseLink should always be DISABLE_SELECTIVE. If the user specifies an unknown value we should raise a validation exception notifying the user it is an unrecognized value.
