Move the Monitoring Project to As-Is. - Update the link in the download page to point to the pre-built Monitoring Tools Runtime and SDK drivers. - Modify the download page by moving the Monitoring Tools Runtime and SDK drivers which contain empty plug-ins to the As-Is section. Put a note to indicate where the drivers are now located on the page. - Continue to package the empty plug-ins as part of the All TPTP Runtime and SDK drivers. - Remove the Monitoring plug-ins from the All-in-One installation and packaging. Add a comment to indicate the Monitoring plug-ins are no longer included in the install.
Approved for TPTP 4.7 RC2.

I would like to request for PMC approval to include the fix of this bug in TPTP v4.7.0. 1. Explain why you believe this is a stop-ship defect. How does the defect manifest itself, and how will users of TPTP / consuming products be affected if the defect is not fixed? Removes As-Is empty monitoring features/plug-ins from the build. 2. Is there a work-around? If so, why do you believe the work-around is insufficient? No. 3. Is this a regression or API breakage? Explain. No. 4. Does this require new API? n/a 5. Who performed the code review? Sean 6. Is there a test case attached to the bugzilla record? n/a 7. What is the nature of the fix? What is the scope of the fix? What is the risk associated with this fix? Low. Removing building of empty contents. 8. Is this fix related to any standards that TPTP adheres to? If so, who has validated that the fix continues to adhere to the standard? n/a

Created attachment 170601 [details] Patch - add monitoring to build dependencies This patch adds the Monitoring project to the TPTP build dependencies. This is required because org.eclipse.tptp.monitoring.examples is a dependency for org.eclipse.tptp.examples. We should look at removing this dependency in a future release.
Patch for build dependency looks good. Patch checked into HEAD.
+1 for making the additional change for example.
This change is not in the root of the TPTP-4_7_0 branch except for the drop template and xsl change of the "As-Is" patch since it was reverted for bug 316006. I have checked the patches into HEAD for 4.7.1.
