Every time when I use eclipse, my Laptop with operating system Windows 7 needs around 10 minutes to shutdown. If eclipse was not used, my laptop shut down very fast.

I use eclipse together with cygwin. But the problem seems to come only from eclipse, since it also occurs if cygwin was not started.

Reasons and solutions for the slowly shut down?

SO you are saying that *Windows* is slow to shutdown after using eclipse? Is any Eclipse application still running at the time you initiate shutdown?
