Description bob.glamm CLA 2010-05-12 17:56:43 EDT
Summary says it all. Fresh Linux (CentOS 5.4) installation, latest eclipse (3.52), latest m2e (0.10.0), clean user directory - no pre-existing .eclipse or workspace directories. Maven simply does not come up as an option anywhere, on the welcome screen, preference pages, or as an option to create/import workspaces.

No log in workspace/.metadata/.log. Installed software list claims it's installed.

Two issues actually installing m2e:

a) Unresolved dependency: I had to get GEF first.
b) The first installation pass complains about not being able to download all components. I retry the installation and it seems to be successful, but even after Eclipse restarts - nothing. No hint of m2e anywhere.

This may have been caused by a bug in eclipse installer. Could you please try again with eclipse 3.6.1 and reopen if this is still a problem.
