It should contain the Databases folder 3) Open the Project Explorer View by selecting Window -> Show View -> Other... expand the General folder and select Project Explorer 4) Create a project named test by selecting File -> New -> Project... expand the General folder and select Project. 5) Open the Preference pages for SQL Development by selecting Window -> Preferences, expand Data Management -> SQL Development 6) Expand SQL Results View Options and select Viewer Options Please investigate, Thanks, Martine <response_by> nguyer at 2010.05.04.08.16.12 </response_by> I checked this, and you are correct that there are no units explicitly stated, however it is implied that the integer value is the number of characters in the value. Many of the other input fields in the View preferences are similar to this. Personally, I do not think this is a problem, but others may disagree. I talked to the developer and found that it is the number of characters.
I will change the entry to read as follows: Display ellipsis when the value character length exceeds (Note: in the original, "ellipsis" was mis-spelled as "ellipis".)
