Description Pawel Pogorzelski CLA 2010-05-10 07:03:20 EDT
This information is not shown on Resource properties page for projects.
Comment 1 Oleg Besedin CLA 2010-11-03 10:28:28 EDT
Is that because of this line in the ResourceInfoPage:

// Attributes are not relevant to projects
if (resource.getType() != IResource.PROJECT) {
		...
		createPermissionsGroup(composite);
		...
}

added in the bug 300502 ?

I think this is not a valid request to show file permissions for projects. Project is an abstract entity and it is not connected to any particular folder in the file system. Parent folder of a project (the one that contains .project file) is not part of this project, so showing its permissions as project's permissions would be incorrect.

Szymon B, what do you think about that?

Projects are backed by folders in the file system and we could control their file permissions. I think it is a valid request, however low priority for me.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
