Description Johannes Rieken CLA 2010-05-05 11:09:19 EDT
Build Identifier: 3.6M6

SL 10.6.3, 64bit, cocoa-swt

After a short while of coding (around 4hrs) I see a massive drop of performance. Restarting eclipse helps. I see this quite often but have no clue how to debug/trace this. I'm attaching a screen recording showing what I mean. I'd be happy to trace this down further using your instructions, Yourkit (what should I be loooking at), or a custom plugin export.

Reproducible: Always

Please could you try a recent build (I20100504-0800). We have a fixed a performance problem while scrolling on that build.

Alright. I have adopted I20100504-0800. From a first try, it feels a lot snappier. I keep you updated...

Scrolling speed issues were addressed 3.6rc1, so I'm resolving it as fixed. If you have a different example that's slow please file a new bug. Thanks!
