Trace collection with mostly 0's for birth time and nanosec in the eclipse viewer

When using the attached trace, the eclipse viewer contains very few processes with birth time and nanosec times that are not 0.  lttv-gui shows correctly.

Possibly related to bug 311738 which, using the same trace log, contains many unnamed processes.
