Created attachment 167870 [details] Patch for o.e.d.sqltools.result.ui
Created attachment 167871 [details] Patch for o.e.d.sqltools.schemaobjecteditor.ui
The problem is in the AbstractShiftedListSection class of plugin org.eclipse.datatools.sqltools.result.ui. The width of the button area containing the "shift" buttons is set to a hard-coded value (80 pixels) that isn't wide enough for many languages. I've modified the code to compute the width of the longest shift button label when the area is being layed out, and use that as the width hint of each button in the button area. I've made the same fix in the SchemaObjectEditorPreferencePage class in plugin org.eclipse.datatool.sqltools.schemaobjecteditor.ui. The problem was not as apparent in this class because the default shift button width was hard-coded to 120 pixels, but dynamic sizing is better, so I did the same fix.
Checked in fix, tagged to v201005111600
