I am running MDT OCL integration build: https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/job/cbi-mdt-ocl-3.0-integration/86/console It fails with the following console log: Started by user aigdalov ln -s 2010-05-03_17-49-42 /opt/users/hudsonbuild/.hudson/jobs/cbi-mdt-ocl-3.0-integration/builds/86 failed: -1 Building remotely on build2 [org.eclipse.ocl] $ cvs -q -z3 update -PdC -D "Monday, May 3, 2010 9:49:42 PM UTC" cvs update: warning: failed to open /opt/users/hudsonbuild/.cvspass for reading: No such file or directory $ no changes detected Starting xvnc [cbi-mdt-ocl-3.0-integration] $ Xvnc :20 -geometry 1024x768 -depth 24 -ac 03/05/2010 17:49:57 Xvnc version X.org/xf4vnc custom version 03/05/2010 17:49:57 Copyright (C) 2001-2004 Alan Hourihane. 03/05/2010 17:49:57 Copyright (C) 2000-2004 Constantin Kaplinsky 03/05/2010 17:49:57 Copyright (C) 1999 AT&T Laboratories Cambridge 03/05/2010 17:49:57 All Rights Reserved. 03/05/2010 17:49:57 See http://www.tightvnc.com/ for information on TightVNC 03/05/2010 17:49:57 See http://xf4vnc.sf.net for xf4vnc-specific information 03/05/2010 17:49:57 Desktop name 'x11' (build2:20) 03/05/2010 17:49:57 Protocol versions supported: 3.7, 3.3 03/05/2010 17:49:57 RGB format 8 8 8 03/05/2010 17:49:57 Listening for VNC connections on TCP port 5920 [cbi-mdt-ocl-3.0-integration] $ /bin/sh -xe /tmp/hudson3354165028761114127.sh + export 'PROJRELENGROOT=-projRelengRoot :pserver:anonymous@dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/modeling' + PROJRELENGROOT='-projRelengRoot :pserver:anonymous@dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/modeling' + export 'PROJRELENGPATH=-projRelengPath org.eclipse.mdt/org.eclipse.ocl/releng' + PROJRELENGPATH='-projRelengPath org.eclipse.mdt/org.eclipse.ocl/releng' + . /opt/public/cbi/build/org.eclipse.dash.common.releng/hudson/run.sh /tmp/hudson3354165028761114127.sh: line 10: /opt/public/cbi/build/org.eclipse.dash.common.releng/hudson/run.sh: Permission denied Terminating xvnc. It used to work several months ago. Although it is not a critical problem, this is not convenient.
On your build, please make sure you have configured it to run only on the Master node. You may be running into issues where it is trying to go over to one of the slaves and the slaves aren't yet setup with everything we need.

I am decreasing priority and severity since then. BTW, back to ln problem, do you know why it doesn't work and whether any improvements about it are expected?

Not sure...it seems to be specific to the main build machine. I'm running the same version of Hudson locally under Ubuntu and don't see the issue. It is best to use the RESTful links anyways, especially with the slave machines coming on line.
Thanks, Dave. I am closing the bug.
