Description Paul Fullbright CLA 2010-03-01 11:48:30 EST
Especially for entering stack traces, it would be great if you could simply paste in some text for use as an attachment. Having to create a file just so you can attach it is cumbersome and probably leads to more stack traces being pasted directly into the bug description, which leads to clutter in the bug conversation.

Apparently you are not alone, since this feature request is already logged at Mozilla:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119703

I've cc'd myself on that bug, and I've voted for it with a reference here.

Good news -- this is now in Bugzilla 4.2 (which is currently in development).

So this bug should be marked as depending on bug 377204, for the record. :)
Comment 4 Denis Roy CLA 2012-07-27 15:01:17 EDT
Upgraded to 4.2, so this is resolved.
