Description douglasmhurst CLA 2010-02-19 11:28:52 EST
Build Identifier: 3.5.1

Bug 75981 first discussed this. The ${date} format, regardless of what has been assumed, does not come from the system. The date format is Mmm dd, yyyy in all cases, regardless of the Windows or any other operating system date format.

The best proposed change of 75981 was to allow ${date:YYYY-mm-dd} as an example. In this example the date would appear as say 2010-02-19.

The irony here is that all the posts to bug 75981 are dated and are dated YYYY-mm-dd, as is being proposed by the thread texts, but nothing appears to have been done to make he change. One of the threads indicates it will be addressed in 3.5, but I have MyEclipse 8.0 which uses Eclipse 3.5.1 and the change was not made.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Windows
2. Preferences
3. Java
4. Code Style
5. Code Templates
6. Comments
7. Files (for example)
