Description William Bourque CLA 2010-01-22 14:35:43 EST
When using LTTng with a very large trace, the Control Flow View and the Resources views are trying to go trought the whole list of events before showing up any result.

This can take a long time, especially for a very large trace, the default behavior should be to load a certain (very small) numbers of events, and to only load the rest only on user demand.

An example on how it should behave

This patch is very beta and should not go into production but it show the kind of behavior the CFV should have about large trace.

With this patch, only the first 1 seconds is loaded.

Somehow related to the HistogramView and TimeframeView, due to the notion of "Window".

Asigned to myself for now.

The initial display window of the CFV and RV was set to 0.1 second i.e. the initial HistogramView time range.

The corresponding initial populating request becomes quite short and the user experience is greatly improved.

This fix is part of a larger checkin that will take place after proper
review.
