This bug is to to improve Mylyn support for the following:

If I am committing some changes to CVS and my bug tracking system is BugZilla, then Mylyn should have a nice support of attaching the patch automatically to my Bugzilla bug and ask for review to somebody (which can be provided by adding fields at commit dialog) and then commit OR preferably gets auto-committed with comments provided according to template to CVS once the patch goes green(r+).

Reproducible: Always

Adding dependency to Bug#297437 as this is related to currently demanded scenario.

This idea relates to capabilities/objectives of the recent Mylyn Reviews sub-project proposal:

This would be useful not just for doing reviews, but also simply so that there is an easy way to see what was committed for a bug. As far as I know there is no simple way in Eclipse CVS to see what files were changed in the same commit, let alone what the changes were.

Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1].

We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub.
