Description Adam Kiezun CLA 2003-01-10 10:16:56 EST
20030107
once in 2 hours or so i get a message
'file has changed on the file system. you you want to overwrite?'

regardless of what i select the whole ide freezes forever
(or for so long that i never waited more than 5 minutes)

i need to kill it
then after restart, full build is requuired, but it never completes - ide
freezes again (on 'updating...' after build)

i must kill eclipse again
3rd time round another full build is required, which completes

after more than 20 minutes of wasted time and a lot of frustration
you can work again

this happens 2-4 times a day and is greatly frustrating

(didn't know where to enter this report)

Adam, what kind of action have you triggered before gettting the message. And
can you please try to create a stack trace of the VM (Ctrl+Break) which would
give some information where the VM spends the cycles.

it's save or ctrl+B - either can trigger the problem as far as i can tell
(save for sure, ctrl+b i'm almost sure)

afaik, there's no ctrl+break on linux. is there?
