As part of 291128 I have ended up rebuilding swt natives for the bug seems to lay in the jni interface for callback.c and I added printf.
Though I have since been unable to reproduce the callback failures. Could the official swt natives be build against at least IBMJava2-142 which is the oldest release available from the IBM site so one could be able to rebuild swt natives with the same environment. 

It could still be an issue with gcc used so I am not confident this will get rid of the bug. Thus if I could get the buildlog it would be helpfull too.

Fixed > 20091120

Several of our builds were compiled against JDK 1.5, some against 1.4.1 and some against 1.4.2. All the builds against 1.4.1 have been upgraded to 1.5. Right now, only windows ia64 compiles against 1.4.2.

BTW, I do not think this will fix bug#291128.
