I've already posted this bug once (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=284718).
The bug (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=278923) is still there! Using true type fonts isn't a solution/workaround for this bug.

I've tried to find a workaround and experimented in FigureUtilitiesEx. Getting the graphics context in non-advanced mode getGC(font, false) seems to be a workaround for this problem. But I don't know what's the difference between advanced and non-advanced gc.

Hi Andreas,

I understand your frustration about this bug. However opening a new bugzilla entry will not help to resolve this bug. In the previous bugzilla entry, you claim that the workaround does not work. Could you said a bit more (the font you use, the text you enter, the zoom level and add screenshots).I will close this bug as duplicate, and reopen the old one. Please provide all the information on bug 278923.
