User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; pl; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009082706 Firefox/3.0.14 GTB5 Build Identifier: I think there's a room for improvement when it comes to error handling in Task Editor. As you can see on a attached screenshot - the message user gets after submit fails is unambigious. And we actually have details that we could use instead. So I think it would be good to improve it for better UX. Reproducible: Always

I think it should be fixed along with 290812
I agree that the error reporting needs improvement but I think we should decouple that from bug 290812. It could make sense to take a pass through this for the next Mylyn release since we'll need to change some this on the framework level.
I agree to Pawel: The error message is too general and could be more specific, e.g. if some operation is not permitted or if some unsupported value is provided. General parts, e.g the RemoteException stuff could be stripped and the rest displayed as ellipsis if it is too long -- with an appropriate hover.
