Description Mik Kersten CLA 2009-09-29 19:33:11 EDT
We currently have a location-based listing, with the top-level categories defining where the entry comes from, what support contract it has, etc. As the discovery listing grows, or gets more generalized, we may need a more functional decomposition. Eg:

h3. Task and Change Management

* Bugzilla
* ClearQuest & ClearCase
* CollabNet
* Outlook
* ...

h3. Source Code Management

* SVN
* EGit
* ...

h3. Build Management

* Atlassian Bamboo
* Hudson

h3. Utilities

* Time Tracking

Steffen: To make this work, I think we need:
* An optional "certification" top-level element with attributes: id, label, image, URL
* Ability for entries can specify certification
* Render the certification "label" after the "by.." and as a hyperlink to the "more info"
* Maybe show the certification popup on hover with the link?
* Hyperlink the "by..." to the "Learn More" URL
* Support multiple categories per entry, or decide duplication is OK
* Fork the discovery listing with these changes, eg, to discovery/directory-helios.xml

Done. I have created bug 291552 to track updating of the meta-data.
