Some dialogs don't show their full text. Apparently, it truncates text to the right of each line of text (can't tell for sure because I don't know the full text). I had already ran into this problem with another informational message, this time I was synchronizing changes and got the following message: <quote> Your changes have been saved. When you are finished, select 'Mark as Merge file an outgoing change. </quote> With a "Don't show this again" checkbox. I was messing with several files, so this message appeared more than once, all of them truncated. I took a screenshot of this dialog, I can attach it if anyone thinks it'd be useful.
A screenshot along with steps to reproduce the problem would be helpful.
Created attachment 2913 [details] "Share Project" dialog with truncated text I was reproducing the bug in order to take notes of the necessary steps, and noticed this bug in another kind of dialog (not a message dialog), not sure if it's the same bug or a related one. Ok, I'm "checking out" an existing CVS module into an Eclipse project. Steps to reproduce: 1) Create a new Java project ("teste") 2) Right-Click it | Team | Share Project 3) The "Share Project" dialog truncates its text (see screenshot)
Adding CVS memebers to the PR as this is a CVS dialog. However I suspect this is a general GTK issue so I will investigate as well.
I can't replicate this in 20021218. Can you please let me know 1) Eclipse Build number 2) GTK version
Version: 2.0.2 Build id: 200211071448 GTK+: 2.0.2 In case you're running Debian, I'm running Debian Woody, and the specific version of the GTK package is libgtk2.0-0 2.0.2-5woody1 If you need anymore info, lemme know. Thanks for your time.
This is fixed in 20021218 due to a couple of bug fixes Bug 24635 is the one that results in the problem with the merge dialog. The Share Project dialog was fixed in M4 as a result of a series of fixes done by the Team component. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 24635 ***
Should be Bug 26435
