User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 Build Identifier: 20090621-0832 I looked for bugs that have to do with cocoa and performance and/spins, ie "the rainbow spinny ball of doom". Now that I am using 3.5, there are just way too many things that make the UI say "hold on for a minute or two and maybe I'll get back to you about that new window or pane that you want to see...." Is there someone profiling the Mac platform? I can take samples if there is somewhere to put them. I can even dig into the code, but again, I could waste a lot of time if I cannot find the people who are looking into this and where they might be discussing the issues. Any pointers you might provide would be appreciated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Using WOLips, and yes it may be specific to WOLips, but given that 3.5 is using Cocoa instead of Carbon, I bet there are other issues...
There's another bug about Cocoa slowness. That person also seemed to have WOLips plug-ins installed. See bug 285175.
It would be great if you could offer your help on bug 285175. Kevin Barnes is your man. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 285175 ***
