Description Shaun Smith CLA 2009-09-15 14:40:39 EDT
Unless Dali has an active db connection a warning is displayed. E.g,

Connection "Derby" is not active. No validation will be done against the data source.

OR

No connection specified for project. No database-specific validation will be performed.

It would be useful to provide either an option to set the level (i.e., warning, info) of connection information or to suppress connection related messages so that developers can focus on code related warnings they can take action on. I think I'm responsible for this warning in the first place but the feedback I'm getting is that it's useful during active JPA development but once work shifts to say the EJB or Web layer this warning is just noise.

This could be implemented as a one-off or as a part of bug 285895. Setting as "Depends on" so that the two are linked and easily referenced.

Fixed as a result of implementing bug 285895.
