The discovery wizard throws an exception "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Argument cannot be null" if no description is specified for a category or a connector. The discovery core should either disallow descriptors with empty descriptions or the UI should handle that more gracefully.

Fixed as part of bug 284501. Descriptions are now required.
