Description DJ Houghton CLA 2002-12-15 22:36:00 EST
build 12-10, win2k, j9

I have my mouse cursor settings so my cursor is "snapped to default" when a
button in a dialog appears.

None of the windows/dialogs in Eclipse support this feature...my cursor remains
where it is on the screen whenever a new dialog comes up.

I've verified that this is the case, but on my machine this doesn't work for
other applications either (ie.- Word). Does it work for other applications on
your machine?

Maybe it's not working for me anywhere because I was never prompted to reboot
after making the change?

I know it works in Internet Explorer when (for instance) you transfer from
insecure to secure pages (http to https).

It doesn't work in Word when you do a File -> Open, or Edit -> Find.
Sorry, I don't use Word so I don't know if there are other cases where it does
work.

I compare it to the dialog in IE because it is a model dialog like the "Commit"
action from the Sync view.

In IE this behaviour works for me too (invoke dropdown Tools -> Internet
Options...). Moving to Steve.

In order for snap to default to work, the default button must be a child of the
shell. See 20563.
