Rounded borders are currently problematic to use with shell. There are several issus. 1. The way rounded borders are currently implemented in IE might create a graphical glitch on shell-resize. To recreate: - Enable rounded borders in Shell.theme.xml. - Add rounded bordera in theme.css for "Shell[BORDER]" and "Shell-Titlebar" - Start control-demo in IE8. - Click on any tab that has not been opend yet. - Resize the Shell. 2. It is not possible to have different borders for the content-area and the titlebar without breaking layout, since only the entire shell and the titlebar can be styled, not the content-area itself. And even if the content-area could be styled, it would introduce a new problem, namely that the layout for the content would ignore the existence of the border.
Created attachment 141797 [details] Solves "resize"-problem This should fix the problem that causes the border to randomly break in IE. However, the actual cause of IEs behavior is still unkown, so it could occur again.
Changes are in CVS HEAD.
The "Resize"-Bug is gone. The same graphical glitch also appeared randomly on other widgets, but has not occured since the fix.
